RS PRO, M6, Zinc Plated Steel Nylon Insert Lock NutThese zinc-plated lock nuts from the RS PRO range are an effective alternative to Aerotight® fasteners. Theyre ideal for use in industrial, mechanical and railroad settings and are typically used by DIY motor enthusiasts, builders, roofers and joiners. The M6 fastener is comprised of mild steel grade 8.8. The nylon insert tightens when the mating bolt is inserted. This enables it to withstand torque and vibrations. It also handles temperatures up to +250°C making it suitable for use in heat exchangers and is completely sealed, stopping any water, oil, solvents or gas leaking. As theyre zinc-plated they are also resistant to rust and corrosion.
