This barrel-bodied inductive proximity sensor from Festo is perfect for the job. Its ingress protection (IP) rating of 67 means it can withstand temporary immersion in water and its unaffected by oil, dirt or surface finish. The sensor detects metal within a range of 0.8 mm. It can be used at temperatures ranging from -25°C to +70°C, making it suitable for a wide range of environments.• Housing made from durable polyamide and non-corrosive high-alloy steel • Flush mounting style is ideal for embedding in a panel • Supply voltage of 10 to 30 V DC for safety • M5 x 0.5 thread size is compact and easy to work with • Yellow LED (light-emitting diode) operating status display makes it easy to monitor Application Information • Metal-detecting equipment used on oil rigs • Mining equipment Does this sensor contain any hazardous materials?
