RS PRO Polyethylene (PE) Acoustic Insulation, 1 m x 1 m x 12 mmThese flame-retardant polyether acoustic foam tiles are used as an effective sound absorber across a broad range of applications, from aerospace to heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC). These tiles come in 1-metre x 1-metre squares, which can be applied directly to large surface areas. Alternatively, you can cut the tiles to your required shape and size while maintaining their acoustic insulation integrity. The foam itself is an open-cell acoustic foam, making it flexible and robust with good mechanical strength. This means that it can be applied to curved surfaces – such as ductwork lining – or compressed to fit complex or awkward shapes. The soundproofing foam is impregnated polyether and is compliant to fire propagation standards BS476 Pts 6&7 with Class O and Class 1 ratings. Its safe to use at temperatures ranging from -30°C to +110°C.
